Hey friends,

We’re starting something simple here in the Capital Region

Club Calima has been building communities of founders, developers, artists, operators, and curious builders in different cities over the years. Some of us have met through startups, open-source projects, nonprofits, creative collectives, or just by showing up to weird and interesting events

Now that some of us are spending more time around Troy, Albany, Cohoes, Saratoga, and the surrounding region, we thought it would be fun to start connecting locally too

Nothing too formal. Think of this more like a launchpad for ideas and collaboration

Sometimes that might mean:

• casual meetups or build nights

• people bringing laptops and hacking on projects

• short talks or demos

• helping someone launch a website or automate a workflow

• experimenting with open tools like Odoo, AI, and other things

• artists, technologists, and small businesses sharing ideas

The Capital Region already has a lot of interesting people doing cool things. The goal here isn’t to reinvent that, just to connect

If five people show up with laptops and curiosity, that’s already a good night

We’re starting with a simple interest form to see what people might want to learn, teach, or organize together
