Reflection: Your Project, Your Context


Before jumping into tools, platforms, or features, it’s worth to really consider what are we doing

Use this section to reflect, with your notes, and share in the forum and comments to share with other students in the class

What Are You Building Right Now?

Describe your project in simple terms:

  • Is it a product, service, community, or idea?

  • Is it new, evolving, or already active?

  • Is this for yourself, others, or both?

  • Who would be joining?

Try to explain it as if you were talking to a friend, or a pet


Who Is This For?

Think about the people you want to reach:

  • Who do you hope finds you online?

  • What problem are they trying to solve?

  • What would make them feel understood?

You don’t need to be precise yet, direction is enough


What Does “Success” Look Like Right Now?

What would make you happy, how can you sustain the passion you're feeling

It might be just an idea, or you're starting over, depending on the stage of the project there are things you might be taking for granted and some that would feel like a miracle

How would these milestones feel:

  • Someone contacting you

  • Your first sale

  • People think your message is clear

  • You're flowing into every

Write down what would actually help you in the next few weeks


Where Are You Starting From?

Consider the skills and friendships that you carry around today

  • Do you already have a website or store?

  • Are you using social media as your main presence?

  • Are things scattered across tools?

  • Are you comfortable with computers and online platforms?


Share With the Community

If you feel comfortable, consider:

  • Leaving a comment in this article with a short description of your project

  • Posting an introduction in the forum

  • Reading how others are approaching their challenges
